More than 75 percent of people in the United States take supplements, but the industry is largely unregulated. Senior investigative producer Leslie Marcus warns of one supplement, commonly referred to as “gas station heroin,” that is turning people into addicts. This supplement contains the drug tianeptine, which is not FDA approved in the United States.
